I'm replacing both CCT's and am a little confused. Reading some of the posts I expected differ part numbers. Unfortunately partzilla lists 2 separate part numbers, Both active, but the diagram lists them as the same item.

Is there an updated version? Are they interchangeable?

    Which bike?

If the difference is in the last 3 numbers it is just an updated part. The higher number taking precedence.

2007 vtec. Just wasnt sure if the front and rear are different. People talk9about the gasket and tool coming with but I'm not seeing it sold like that. Looks like I have to order the tensioner, then the gasket. And the cap that runs the chain as separate

The CCT by itself does not come with the gasket, but you can order it as well. I ordered from a guy on ebay in Japan, bought CCT&gasket as a set... installed a month or so ago on my 02. Only did the front as it was chattering, no noise from the rear at this point...

Just get them from Honda. They last about 35,000m, you need the gasket as well.

Ordered them yesterday along with a rear axle shaft and misc stuff. Unfortunately its gonna be 6 weeks till they even ship... wtf.

So I've had a vibration that comes on around 6k rpm in all gears and neutral. Clutch in or out no difference. Hard to say if they are noisy as I have no compassion. Engine does have a rattling type tone at higher rpm and especially when vtec kicks. Could be exhaust note idk.

Wonder if anyone had a cct go that caused a vibration. Specifically in the foot pegs. Alot in seat and tank at specific rpms but I noticed the "hinge" had play and stuck a shim between the bottom of the tank under the seat and the frame. Really diminished alot of the vibes except in the pegs.

As a side note I'm wondering if theres supposed to be a rubber bushing or something there
