Hi guys, I discovered this forum yesterday searching for a obscure electrical problem.

Anyway. Fairly fresh rider from Norway. I did ride quite a lot 25 years ago but found a piece of visdom in the funerals I went to and stopped. Now I am more careful and I know I can restrain myself. But I consider myself a total newbie again.

On to the bike. 2000 mod VFR 800 with 32000km - 19800 miles on it. Two previous owners and generally in very good condition. She's still an old lady but a lot of bike left.

So far lots of b-roads in the southern Norway, cannot cross the boarder to Sweden because of the corona situation. [IMG]

    Welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:.

That is a stunning VFR colour, and indeed that ice cream looks very tempting too!

Weirdly if it was not for this virus shut down, I and a heap of riders from across Europe would have been in Southern Norway last weekend at a meeting which had been organised by www.ulyssesclub.no at the Solvgarden Hotel in Rysstad, Setesdal. The event has been rescheduled for the same time next summer, so if you want to meet up with some fairly laid back riders give Knut a call and I may catch up with you then.

In the meantime enjoy your VFR and Take Care - :wheelie::wheelie::wheelie:

Thanks guys. I am more than happy over not getting a pure sports bike this time. So versatile.

I like my Bumble Bee too, and first thing to do is remove the tail plastic and inspect those stator and regulator connections, replace the regulator with a mofset and get rid of the OEM connections. At minimum, inspect the OEM connections are clean and tight. Preventative medicine, you won't regret it.

The regulator was changed to a MOSFET type by the previous owner. So that is at least taken care of

Welcome. Wow, I don't know about other countries, but the yellow colour was very rare in Australia, and now with bikes being written off, changed and re-painted, it's even rarer. Your's looks fantastic (isn't Honda 'paint' so rich and resilient?)
You must get rid of those horrible 'condom' mirrors, however, exposed stalk mirrors from the '01 model look so much nicer...
