Non running vfr

    Hi , Im a new member. I bought a non running 1994 vfr750 r36 with a duff carb ...any way i then bought another set of carbs and cleaned all the jets etc and placed them on the bike with new inlet rubbers.... connected up the battery.. decent spark at the plugs .. but it just wont fire up ? I have fuel. spark strong battery but it wont even fire on any cylinder ?,, The guy i bought it from had it laid up for 5 years. I even swapped the coils ove from a known running bike ... still no go ...Any suggestions please .. Its beyond me

    Hi Squirell, yes looked at fuel pump . Seems to be pumping ok I have fuel at every carb, as it will pour out of the float bowls if i loosen the drain screw.
    I have even tried Eazy start through the airbox ...not even a cough .

    the way I understood the fuel pump on the gen3 and probably gen4 bikes was that it was used once the fuel reached a level below the carburetors. You should get a gentle clicking from a working one. Keep us posted, I almost bought a gen4 but had no trailer hitch to pick it up with my truck. Next day I installed a hitch on my Jeep, never to be used for motorcycle transport so far -
