Hey guys been lurking around here for months and found some really helpful information so thanks for that.

I have recently started working getting the minor parts of the bike sorted now that I've dealt with the electrical system and rusting collector box, the next step of my adventure is to change out or replace missing/damaged fairing bolts, I've managed to find a set of bolts but on a few of my fairings I don't have any thing for them to screw into where there used to be a receiver of some sorts?

If anyone has any information (part name/part number/link) relating to this I'd be hugely thankful.

Also searched around on forums but can't seem to find anything relating to these parts.

    Many thanks.

Honda likes to use black plastic fasteners that hold two parts of the fairing together without a receivers. They have a center pin when pushed in, expand behind the fairing to hold parts together.

They are called well-nuts..... rubber with a shoulder and a threaded brass insert...... standard bike part, may even be available at your local auto supply., sometimes hardware store.
5mm thread, Honda part number 90111-KW3-003, but various bikes have exact same part with their own part number. Can buy bulk ones here and there for much cheaper.
6mm threads are usually into a threaded nut or bracket with nut.
For all those stupid plastic clips you destroy when removing, convert to push-pin type.... again universal, fit into 6mm holes between two pieces of tupperware, Honda part 90683-MBW-003 or Yamaha 90269-06008-00... can get in bulk universal fit from many m/c parts sources for much less.

You can go to partzilla.com and look at their diagrams for your model year. Using the part numbers above can tell what type of fastener was used. I bought a lot of bits and pieces from them when I fixed up my 83 VF750
