Hello from Seaford on the South Coast. I originally had a Gen 1 VFR750 in 1986, D392MOE, which was awesome, then sold and moved onto a VF1000R...what a bike. Always loved the VF500F, so finally picked one up in 2013. Picked up a spare engine, F1 pipes, NC30 tank and RS250 seat unit along the way, but as I also restored a CBX1000Z and a couple of 2-stroke Suzukis, it was the lockdown that finally gave me the time to push the VF500F (RS500R) project on....

Welcome to VFRW. The CBX looks like it was just pushed out of the showroom for a photo session. I will be following your RS500R project. Do you hope to take it to a track day?

I may well do. Took her for several runs 'around the block' yesterday, and although the motor is really strong, quiet and smooth, the rebuilt original shock is a real disappointment, so a replacement is needed. Overall though, once the fairing is on and the suspension is sorted, this is going to be great fun.
