I currently use a TourMaster textile jacket with CE armor that I've had for about 15 years or so. I also have a Street & Steel winter jacket that obviously in south Florida doesn't get much use. My problem is that the textile jacket is all black, and even though it flows air very well, when at a still it absorbs the heat on a sunny 90+ degree day (which can be quite a few down here, lol). I've looked at jackets that are "hi-viz" but I've never been so much a fan of the obnoxious color patterns, even though I realize the obvious benefit of better visibility to others on the road. Do any of you have textile jackets that are white, grey or other light colors that you can recommend with regard to comfort, air-flow, ergonomics, etc? Show off your wear! Please chime in with brand and type (pictures a plus), thanks!
I bought this last summer. Here in maine summer lasts about 4 weeks. The arms are all mesh and feels like riding in a tee shirt. It has additional liners to block wind and rain as well as a thermal liner. It's not white but still light in color. Fit was nice and I have been happy so far. http://www.joerocket.com/mesh-jackets/honda-vfr-mesh
I've actually considered that jacket for some time. The only thing I question is the front panel as it's not mesh. My PowerTrip (not TourMaster as I previously stated) is completely mesh. However, is that front panel padded with any additional protection? Because that's a big plus. Thanks for the pic too!
Just placed the order for this. Should be here Friday/Saturday. Excited to get away from black and update my jacket at the same time. Leary of the size, but Medium should fit. If not, it's free returns/exchanges. I'll report back! Thanks again @hondaman219 , even though I had already considered it I really appreciate your input and pic.
