Over winter the lad and I set the sag on my 5th gen using a guide I saw on "that other site " and was amazed by how much it was off. I was on it and he was measuring and noting the numbers. Much adjusting later and we got it to 25mm rear and 40mm front and couldnt wait till spring to try it out( im a pussy and dont ride in the cold ) but with all this lockdown going on I've had to wait.
Well I couldnt wait any longer and went for a crafty 5miler and WOW in the 5 years Ive had her shes never handled like it just has. She reads my mind and just knows where to point and with the sound of that engine it was just magical.
I urge you to do this and be amazed by this wonderful machine.
I know I shouldn't of gone out but ive been in this house for 5 weeks now and I was well and truly isolated

Don't blame ya for the ride really, I prob would too if I could get home. Waiting so long to test out changes is bad for the psyche!

Set up work really makes a difference doesn't it? I'm always surprised how many people don't bother.

I've taken a few rides but for running errands, that way I have a legitimate excuse in case the PoPo stop me for any reason. Did it this morning when I went to the Ducati dealer to pick up some parts for my 900SS. In all honesty though, there is still a lot of people out and about, saw quite a few walking the beach bike path and even a few on the sand, they're just not gathering in groups.

For the most part, they're not really cracking down on people being out, just when people start to congregate. Although I've heard that in some places, folks are being fined for being in areas that are supposed to be considered closed. All that said, a majority of the people I saw today were all wearing masks, including me and the people at the Ducati dealer. I'm doing "best practices" when I have to leave the house for any reason. I wear a mask, sometimes gloves and I carry hand sanitizer.

Glad you got the bike sorted. I know when I restored my 01, I did all the sag and suspension settings and tuned them at the track. It's amazing what slight changes in settings can make.

I rotated the pre-load spacer about a full turn or so and backed out my rebound dampening on the bottom of the shock (Penske) bike is more plush now and rides more in line with my other Gen 3 bike (that one has a Fox Shock) Nice thing is that once you set the suspension its "set it and forget it" unless your carrying a pillion and then you could always change the compression clicker and add tyre air pressure. You know they give you so many options it could be dizzying, there could in theory be 21 wrong settings with one or two good. Cheers and rubber on the road :mech:
