    1986 VFR:
Needs 2 new stock jets (believe #118) and 1 new atomizer
    - Also need 4 float bowl gaskets (would either buy a set or willing to cut my own, just don't know whats the best material)
    - Probably best to replace the float valve seat gaskets as well

    1991 VFR
Needs float valve needles (needs just 2, will replace all 4 if cheap)

Can someone direct me to an inexpensive US source for these parts? Particularly interested in not buying full rebuild kits since I don't need all the relate parts.

I buy jets off eBay, with some looking I can find decent pricing. The atomizer... might have to try and call in a favor from someone for just one.
Float bowl gaskets: -041 Viton o-rings are a perfect fit and cheap as shit.
Float valve seat gaskets? I've never replaced one I don't think. Those are the aluminum crush washers, right?

    Hey Cap,

I think I may have my terminology mixed up. For float bowl gaskets, I meant these guys - https://www.siriusconinc.com/pro-detail.php?pid=&product_id=3089. Just wondering if there's a cheaper source or if I can cut them myself using a recommended material.

For float seat gaskets - I meant the O-ring that sits between the float vale needle's holder and the actual carb.

-041 o-ring is correct for float bowl gaskets. I have them in 10+ VFRs now (and my ST1100). They don't need to be "formed" to the shape of the bowl. I get them for about 40 cents each when I buy them in qty.

Float valve gasket: I must be thinking of another V4 I've done recently. Hmmm... I'll check when I get home. I have 2 sets of 86 carbs apart on my bench right now.

Any notes on the 1991 float valve needles? I found a threat indicating that the 91-93 years needle valves are interchangeable, but can only find 2-3 listings on ebay for them ($25-50 for just one!). Is there a non-oem equivalent that will work?

If you get the OEM overhaul kit you get those float needles along with the brass insert/crush washer that threads into carb body.
    VALVE SET, FLOAT
16011-MT4-000 to be honest you probably could get away with just a good cleaning and get some bowl gaskets and be done. I use ethonol free gas btw.

Anyone have the sizing for the fuel joint O-rings? There's a kit here (http://v4dreams.com/products.html) but I only need to replace the O-rings. Same for the air joints. Will they all be the same size for 86 and 91?

I would reuse them except its not the rubber tips that are worn, its the springs that buffer against the float. They're trash and are stuck in the body.

That's me. I can supply just the o-rings. $5 includes shipping. BUT...unless you have fresh OEM fuel lines (fuel tube to the "T' fitting) you're making life harder than necessary. My kit has TYGON lines which are the best I've found—for what it cost me it should be. The air (vent) joints are not critical seals. The fuel joint o-rings are the same size for '86-93, different for '94-97. I have those too.
