Hi, I'm John. I live in Birmingham, AL and got into riding again a little over 4 years ago when I bought a '77 CB750F. It wasn't a basket case, but ended up getting a frame up resto and motor rebuild. I bought a Boulevard C90 about 2 years ago, while doing the motor, and finally finished my journey through cruiserdom 2 week ago. I hadn't put 200 miles on the Boulevard since the 750 rebuild got finished, so I sold it.

Anyway, that's how I got here. I wanted something a little newer than the CB750, and think I have settled on an early Interceptor. I'll lurk about for a while, and try to figure out what to look for and look out for.

I hope that this group will be as good a resource as the SOHC4 boards.

    Thanks,

    John (jtb)

WOW, a 77CB750F was my first real street bike back in the day. One classy machine but worlds behind any VFR. That was still the best sounding stock muffled bike on any I've ever owned since noise limits were quite a bit higher back then. One of the first bikes with a factory 4-1 and dual front disc brakes.

Thanks, Man. I was offered $3,000 for it today, out at Barber Motorsports at the AHMRA event. One of my club members overheard and said, "I'll give you 4 for it, but you aint gonna sell it, are you?". He's right.

Why didn't you say something about this yesterday? I could have bent your ear for another half hour telling you how good Interceptors are.

    Hey Okie,
Glad you made it home OK. I just put a pic of the 77f in the photos area.

    I've got a CB750K (77) and a 4th gen VFR (95). Two good bikes.

I'd put a small fairing on the 750F and ride the wheels off it. You'll never wear it out.

Scored today! 1986 VFR750F from ebay, think it's in good shape, 20,000 miles roughly. RWB. I'm pumped, it'll probably be a couple of weeks before it gets here, I'll post pics and describe it then.
