Likely just a tweaked lower triple. Seen it MANY times. They are as strong as butter. And it can be tweaked back easily by sliding the fork tube down and using it for a little leverage. You'll be surprised how little effort is required to bring it back. Least of your worries I suppose. Goddammit.

Well, im starting to think about getting back to this bike, its been a year now, but first I need to be sure I have all the right parts. I checked my parts engines/tranny's and the M2/m3 gear set on both of them is F'd so I dont have a good spare. One of the M2 gears has all the gear dogs chipped, the other one has one gear dog chipped. If I can get a good cheap used part, id rather go that route before coughing up the extortionate prices that Honda or CMS.NL wants.

Are the vf1000f trans parts the same? Maybe fleabay might have a complete trans.

No Different parts, I did consider that and looked up the part #'s.

Spoke to Honda today and while they list a price for it, it is discontinued, so Used was my only route.

Lucky for me I found a single M2/M3 gear on ebay this morning, nice shape $75 shipped. found a couple of full trannys, but I have 2 full spares and only the M2/3's are bad so would be a waste of $ to by the full Trans.

So.... hopefully this will do the trick once I get back at it.
