Nowhere....Luckily the ones that came out of the engine were actually in great shape.

All the same I looked and there only bits and pieces out there. No complete sets anywhere.

My bigger issue is finding valve guides. The shop said I need (8) of them and there are only like (3) on ebay and they are all in Europe. I think I am screwed. I have another set of heads and hoping the guides on them are usable. If not then it is a waiting game.

    Does anyone have any
    12204-KE7-305 Valve guides??????????

Yes they are expensive! But at least they have the parts. I am going to have to stop tracking costs on this project. I am so far upside down it is pathetic.

"Labor of Love" I will call it!

Unobtanium is often that way. You tend to forget such things when you're riding the finished product. Your body can always restock the lost blood cells.

Most excellent!!! I always have respect for folks that never give up, overcome the pain and suffering, and make stuff happen. I hope CMSNL comes through for you on the guides. You are soooo close. A fresh set of heads will be worth the wait.

IMG_9704.JPG Got some really good news yesterday, the shop was able to make (2) heads out of (4). I did not even have to buy any parts. My investment in the $300.00 V30 Magna I bought is paying off! I was charged $310.00 USD and could not be happier. Local guy called Harold's Machine. Does a bunch of work for all the local motorcycle dealers. Great guy.

He was also able to "fix" the valves where they were pitted on the top. I understand this was a major issues with the VF500's and required service bulletins to repair.

OK, so now to deal with the head gaskets. I am in no way complaining about the quality (beggers can't be choosers) but the fit is not exactly perfect. I am going to have to open up the hole where it fits around the block dowel. No big deal really just a pain. But I am used to pain by this point. That which does not kill me makes me stronger, or something like that.
