Honda did an excellent job of putting in more low and medium rpm torque. I don't think the upper end is neutered at all. In theory, it should be. In practice mine isn't. The speedometer on my 8th gen. is dead on accurate, unlike previous generations which were 8% fast. Besides, who cares how fast it will be on top end and why?

I bounced off the rev limiter in 3rd gear at ~110mph, then I got scared. It wasn't the safest back road.

I hit 130mph today. Just out and about with a bunch of 1000's. I wasnt trying though, just found out at some point that I had twisted my throttle as far as it would go. Glanced down and saw 130. I'll have to check with my GoPro to see what it actually says.

I've rolled on my 8th gen.'s throttle out of boredom on an empty four lane and saw 131 easily before my exit came up quickly and had to let off. I don't know what the top end is and don't really care. They are what they are.

Seen about 88mph so far... I'm more about the trip, than about how quick that trip went

Took advantage of the lighter traffic due to covid-19, found a quiet section of road and hit 152. If I wasn't wearing my winter jacket I probably would have seen 155.
