Hey guys! (and maybe girls, but face it, the majority of you will be male).

Greetings from the cold, wet, rainy Netherlands! I've had my license for about a year and a half now. I've always dreamt of riding but other things like studying etc got in the way. Now after finally getting my license my only regret is not getting my license way, waaaay sooner, I absolutely love it!

I own a '98 VFR 800 FI since October last year and I love it to death. My first bike was a old, ill-maintained cursed Kawasaki ZZR 600. Great bike and had lots and lots of fun with it, but I'm positive the previous owner put a curse on it. The bike left me stranded more than I can count on one hand within the first year, including on my first solo moto trip. But on the flipside, before getting my license I knew nothing wrenching, maintenance, born with two left hands, etc. I've done most of the work on it myself so I learned a lot regarding said subject.

But after all the times it went tits-up, I wanted something new(er), something reliable. I didn't have to look far and got the VFR and been riding it ever since. I commute with the VFR, and attempt to throw it around corners in the weekend. Apart from motorcycling I enjoy rock climbing and rock music :)

Last year september I unfortunately went down on a mate's Honda Transalp in the pouring rain. I've been (maybe too) careful in the rain with my new shiney VFR and feel like I'm pretty far from riding the bike to it's limits, so I'm looking forward to better weather. Is it spring already?

Welkom to VFRWorld Pannenkoek! We love to see photos, so when spring does arrive park it in front of a big field of tulips and shoot the beast with a canon (or whatever brand of camera or phone you have).

Spring here according to the plants which are sprouting.
But we don't have a real winter. I like it that way.
    Go ride. :)

Thank you all for your kind welcome :D I've heard this week will be one of the last weeks with continuous rain and the weather will become a lot better after this weekend. I'll surely take some pictures for you guys when spring comes around!

Maybe I spoke too soon. Over 2" of rain here today and more coming for the next week. :cigar:
Mother Nature trying to catch up after a dry spell I guess.
