Oem.... you won't notice any gains with those filters . Some aftermarket filters claim to flow more but actually filter less. Why do all manufacturers use paper filters? If they made even a small difference they would be stock on high performance machines. Engineers spent lots of time developing filters and airbox. It's hard to do better. Stock filters last thousands of miles and are cheap to replace. I have been an auto tech for 30+ years. Just my 2 cents.
BTW nitrogen in your tank will make you much faster

Came with K&N but I've always rated pipercross more in my cars anyway.

If you put them all in a vacuum box and test them for airflow, the stock filter actually flows better than you might expect. Did a test of all the available filters in 2008 using this method, the BMC Race was the best (as far as air flow), followed closely by a new oem filter.

All filters were new, and prepped according to the manufacturers specs.

    OEM
    BMC Std
    BMC Race
    Pipercross
    K&N

I have used all types in the past oem aftermarket panels like paper type and K&N and pipercross (I my cars) and always felt pipercross perform the best never failed on me and in my cars I believe I've always noticed extra in performance.

Sounds like you have made up your mind. Plenty of people use them. Just not for me.
