Well, no start today; more electrical gremlins, although the battery appears good. I'm guessing another fried oem R/R. This is the 4th oem R/R (plus 1 from Ricks) over the life of the bike. I already have the VFRness, connectors look good, and now think I should replace the (original) stator (40k miles), and get a fh020aa R/R super kit from roadstercycle.com. But it appears an OEM stator is n/a. What is the best alternative stator?

    Thanks!

Picture1-12-2020 031.jpg be sure to inspect the red plug atop the starter relay for signs of melting as that will reduce charging voltage.

Try Custom Rewind in Alabama. They did a great job on my 6th gen stator - just a bit over $100. Send them your core and they send it back refurbished. You should be able to find them on Facebook. Also, check out Roadster Cycle for upgraded R/R - bypass the crap OEM wiring and get a better unit than OEM. I'm in that process now.
