Clutch plates. OEM or aftermarket?

    My clutch rattles at any temperature and will be changing the plates soon, but not before I open it up and check. I'm low on funds, but don't mind spending a little more for a better product.
    Is OEM the best way to go? My bike is an 2004 with 75K miles on it.

    I also plan on changing spark plugs and air filter at the very minimum. Anything else you recommend I check, fix/replace while I'm there? May be the cam chain tensioners? Even the cam chains?
    I'm not a mechanic but I'll run the risk of fixing it or make even more damage.

    Are you sure it’s the plates?

    There’s a small thrust bearing in the pressure plate that can either be worn out or rotating in the pressure plate #19

    With 75k miles, anything is possible. The only way you'll know for sure is to pull it apart, visually inspect, and measure the tolerances. As far as the clutch plates, stock clutch components are pretty decent.

    I finally puled the plates off for inspection.
    Bearing (#19) is free to rotate and seems fin . On the other hand, piece #12 does move freely and I'm not sure is supposed to spin around.

    I found out the springs are rubbing off in the center. May be is normal?

    I just put new pads and plates in mine. I had the same thing. I noticed when I was tightening the spring bolts down some of the springs were going in off center. I suggest paying attention and trying to get them as straight as possible.. If they are leaning over a bit it may rub a bit more when coming in and out but I doubt it'll cause any further issues unless you put half a million miles on it.
