Hey guys, since I just bought my 04’ used I noticed a few things that were added by the previous owner that I’m not familiar with. I’m pretty sure it’s an electrical connection of some kind and I’ve looked and searched but I don’t really know what to call it? What is it called and what is it used for? Thanks fir your help.

Looks like an electrical socket very small like you could almost plug headphones into it if it was bigger. Got it! Thanks Fink!

I keep digging and I believe it’s a steering head power outlet. Never seen anything like it. Which isn’t saying a lot considering a haven’t really ridden in a few years and when I did I kept my bikes stock. Thanks for all your help. This is a great forum! You guys are awesome.

Wiremybike made those steering head power outlets. It's a USB for phones ect. Don't think you can get them anymore since everyone started using RAM Mount steering head mounts.

Mine has this also, it’s pretty awesome. It is a bmw plug. You can plug a battery tender into it. There are also several accessories that plug into to to charge phones and other things.
