87 VFR700f2 oil line leak

    After blowing the bikes bodywork and tank off I found some issues. I'll post each issue in different post so they are easier to search

    And yes I've searched & nothing specific and some posts links and pics don't work... just sayin

    Ok so I noticed the oil line at the cooler is leaking at the fitting. I know I can change an o-ring yet the lines are old. I could tap the engine for an-6 fittings and use braided line with aftermarket cooler. I'd rather not do that

    Anybody make them or have an idea of where to get those fittings for the engine side?

    try an ez O-ring replacement on the cooler tubes first......... or maybe oil is from filter area?????? :pinky:

    Wow, I like the 86 style lines much better. Don't know if they changed for cost (highly likely) or design improvement. On all the 86s I own and have worked on of friends, the cooler lines (except for like maybe one o-ring) has never been an issue.

    Just get some new o-rings and add a light smear of Hondabond to the mount face if you want a little insurance. If you still have a problem, you don't have to take apart the world to try something else.

    Yea not the oil filter. O ring is easy.

    I've seen pics of the adapter could find anything.
