Finally found an 8 spoke!

I finally found a straight 8 spoke 3rd gen rear rim on eBay. Price was $260 shipped. Will need to be powdercoated to match front (thinking black unless I do both).

I felt the price was pretty fair considering what they go for nowadays and that they are increasingly hard to find.

Will be installing on my 5th gen with new rear tire this winter.

Hath that previous owner no shame! That wheel looks guddam filthy. But I am sure you will clean that up and keep it far cleaner than that. Good find. Looks to be in pretty good shape otherwise.

 

Lucky you. I saw one with a £360 price tag which I think is ridiculous. Guess I'll have to try and find one locally from someone who has no idea how sought-after these are The problem is the VFRs rarely break down so the potential wheels are still attached to running 3rd gens

 

Wow. That is insane. That is 530 Canadian or nearly 400 USD. I bought mine from someone on this site several years ago and paid nowhere near that is I recall. Then again, at my age, recall can be questionable.
