    Hi, looking for some advice...

New to me 2013 VFR1200F with 19,500 miles. I have had it for 5 days, bought it from a dealer about 2 hours away.

On Thursday night, I went to put it in the garage and it didn't start. Hooked it up to my battery charger, and the battery fully charged overnight. Rode it all day yesterday, and this morning put it on the charger again and the battery is showing as "less than 75% charged" (My charger shows less than 75%, more than 75%, and fully charged)

I'm assuming since the battery will show as fully charged, it's not a battery issue. Any suggestions on where to start? How hard of a job is it? (I can turn a wrench but need detailed instructions)

I don't know how to test electrical things - if there's a resource I can use to learn, that would be great.

    Thanks!

Wow, your bike is the very first 1200 I have heard that may have a charging problem. My first guess is your battery is shot... Do a charge overnite on the battery and take it to a place like autozone or batterys plus and ask to do a load test...

Baring that, you need a multimeter and run though testing that is now named "the drill"......... as link below...

Suspect the battery. Like Mello Dude said.
Let me add some suggestions. 1) Do not ride the bike to the place where you will have the battery tested. 2) Remove the battery. Charge it overnight or untill the charger shows that it is fully charged. 3) Let it sit off the charger for two or three hours. 4) Then take only the battery to have it LOAD Tested.
By load testing the battery you will know the state of the Cold Cranking Amps, not the voltage that your battery charger and the R/R reads. Batteries that have low CCA can at the same time show a full 12volts when no load is placed on it.
