    Hello All,
I am originally from California but currently live in Thailand. While I know this is a VFR site I own a 1996 Honda RVF NC35. Same letters just jumbled up a bit.

I blaze around the mountains in Northern Thailand on it. Its a Japanese spec RVF and 100% stock and original.

Hi and Welcome to the MadHouse

Those RVF400s are very welcome on this forum. The folks on here really like photos - so perhaps post up a photo or two of your RVF up in the mountains. Its easy just click the "upload a file" link at the bottom and follow the prompts to select and upload images.

    Take care ATGATT

    Will do SkiMad,
Thanks for the Welcome. I will take some pics and maybe toss up a GoPro Vid once I fab up some mounts. I had sat the RVF for awhile after I bought my YZF-R3 but now back to the RVF. I always had big CC bikes in the states but I have found over here in Thailand the little 400's are WAY more fun.

What happened to the Toyota Truck? Is that the Thailand version? It looks amphibious. ;-)

HAHA. Well that is the Hilux Revo (Tacoma Equivalent). It has a 2.8L turbo diesel motor. I added a Piak Front end replacement which is plate steel and has a Warn Winch installed. Round these parts plastic front ends do not hold up well when you have to avoid hitting elephants. Yes I said Elephants..They roam free in these parts where I live. :)

Also to comment, When it rains here...it RAINS. Can drop 5 to 8 inches in a few hours and flooding is a common event during rainy (Monsoon) season.

If you have to contend with driving in this regularly..

It makes a lot of sense to adapt your truck to better handle the conditions. I suspect an under-seat exhaust would be a good choice for those brave motorbikers.

Why don't you have an airbox that extends above the cabin then?

And that happens often and unpredictably. I have had my truck to the rocker panels a few times. Many Thais during rainy season add on exhaust pipes to bed top level. Mine is lifted so has not been an issue. I see people "Floatin" cars frequently. Just a day in the life..:)

Honestly, not really necessary. I mean If it would get to my airbox lifted as mine is then I'd be swimming in the cab anyway...

Thought I'd add a few more pics. I am not doing any incredible build like Norcalguy did, that moto is really a piece of art. I just finally got around to playing with mine again. I was religious about starting it and moving it around but was busy with other projects so its not like I have to tear it apart to ride it. It fires right up.

Today added some new Pirelli tires, changed out the chain and sprockets. It was long over due

You can see mine is all original. Its clean but ridden

I used my Yamaha Rear stand for the front...

New rubber. I think I will have the wheels refinished next time around on tires albeit I would like to have the Tyga PVT wheels..:)

    Ready to ride

Only body part on the bike is the rear seat cowl for now. I have the 3 piece originals but they have some cracks and need some attention, I am going to find a plastics guy to fix them up and put them back on. I have to say the Tyga part is top stuff. Paul is over in Thailand not to far from me so I can get stuff in a day or so..
