Hi Hans and welcome to the MadHouse

Kudos for including a photo with your first post - that looks a rare beast. Whilst they are plenty of red VFRs, blue 6th Gens are a very rare sight.

Take care until you get used to just how top heavy these bikes are - they have a reputation of taking an unplanned nap, and you may also want to read up on the electrical gremlins which affect these bikes. You might want to consider fitting a digital voltmeter so you can monitor the state of the charging system - you can pick them up for very little money on tBay. Whilst it won't prevent problems, it will allow you to spot if the volts suddenly drop or rise alarmingly, and give you a chance to head for some place safe before the energy left in the battery runs out and you are left stranded by the roadside.

    Have fun - ATGATT

Thank you for the greet. I know about the balance after riding it for ten minutes when i brought it home. Good idea about the volt meter.

I forgot to ask whereabouts in Sweden are you located? Nearest city/town is fine as there are a few other riders on here from Sweden and you might just find a neighbour or two to meet up with.

As you will see from the following 38 page thread, these bikes are fine when you are actually out riding - the fun bit comes when you slow right down or stop.

    https://vfrworld.com/threads/you-dropped-it-how-many-time.44298/

Hence investing in frame sliders may be worth considering as for a 2003 the fairings on your bike still look unmolested.

    Have fun

Welcome to this world of insanity, false alcohol induced bravado and self gratifying egotistical group of VFR riders. Sweden would be a nice place for the wife and I to see before I become compost material for sure. Would love to get over there and see things. Your country must be beautiful, so I assume.

I had not idea so many here suffered the Vertical challenged ailment here when I started up that thread. I am presently fighting for top honours there.

Stick around. meet some of us if you can. There are some very talented people here, who can help with troubles you may encounter, Skimad being one of them.

I will try. I think if we just replaced the flags, I would find Sweden much the same as British Columbia\ Canada. Oh. We also need to exchange our arrogant people with yours too.
