"Well, wait until they get to Assen, for sure it'll be different..." they said, "The Ducati won't go well there..." they said, "He was gifted the pole..." they said... Maybe not, again; I said...

Suzuki has made great strides. Rins rode it perfectly to beat out Rossi.

WSBK race 2 was excellent. VDM really stepped it up for the home crowd.

Finally got around to watching all the WSBK & MotoGP

Assen gave the racing it’s famous for, Superport was excellent as were the main races, VDM is finally back on form and Rea gave Ducati a run for the money in Race 2

COTA - the most boring circuit in the series, apart from the first and last few laps I put it on fast forward except when Crutchlow and MM binned it ...well done Rossi and Rins, well deserved win for Suzuki

BSB this weekend from Silverstone, a flat track but it shows what COTA could be like

Race 1 the 2 McAms Yamahas shot into a near race long lead, O Halloran held the lead with team mare Taz McKenzie swapping places for second with Joss Elliot throughout

Taz showed his youthful inexperience by cutting through on his team mate at the last corner, contacting OHalloran and causing him to crash, totally unforgivable IMHO but race direction just gave him a 3 second penalty which put him in 2nd and gave the race to Elliot

Thus an easy 1&2 for McAms on the first race of the season became a 2nd and a crashed bike

You appear to have quite the hard on for COTA.

Well COTA does have a some problems. The bumps and waves keep coming back worse than ever. It was a track specifically designed for F1 racing and the incitives they gave to bring F1 here. Probably not the best bike road race coarse.

I was at Silverstone on Sunday for the BSB and was quite close to O Hallaran being 'taken out' was not good but Taz is not a dirty rider maybe it was a 'rush of blood to the head' and then to top it off for O Hallaran then have an engine failure in the next race must have been the icing on the cake for him, a great days racing and the weather was fantastic as well

Aside from the bumps, which I'm sure they will fix after all of the drama, the general consensus among the riders is that it's a great track. There are quite a few tracks that have had the same issues, and still do. I'd rather watch racing on a bumpy track like COTA than some dead flat former airfield. I was actually surprised the sun was present in that picture.

The TV camera on the inside of the corner clearly showed Taz was about to run onto grass, if he hadn’t offed OHallaran he’d have wiped them both out .... he was basically going for a space that wasn’t there

You certainly had the weather for it

They keep fixing it and it keeps coming back. I have friends that race and track there and still love it in spite of the surface. They are having some financial difficulties, something about missing a grant deadline for something like 20 million dollars. I want to ride it one of these days.

hopefully it will still be a MotoGp track in two years time as my better half and me hope to go there to see it in the flesh and then drive to the 'panhandle' in Florida to see my sister, that will be ticked off of our bucket list, Austin sounds like a fantastic place to visit

Yah Crutchlow loves, then said he thought it was terrible then loved it after qualifying.
To bad he crashed out after starting 3rd.

Eurosport also show the whole World Motorcycle Endurance championship as well, just finished off watching the whole 24 hours Le Mans, what a great race, it looked like Honda were going to win it there will be a new round at Sepang in December that coincides with the World Touring round as well, excellent value at 40 quid a year

Finally got around to watching the Macau GP, red flagged as usual but good racing from Hickman and Rutter although it was really just between those 2 and once Hickman took the lead that was it

John McGuiness was there on the Ducati Panigale that Glenn Irwin took to a win last year, JM did well running in the mid field with his Norton team mate Davey Todd riding very well to 4th ... Glenn Irwin wasn’t there, the death of his good friend here last year was just too much

Anyone who thinks the TT is dangerous should watch this, put a wheel over the edge of the track and it’s either Armco or concrete, add in its a road race with painted lines etc

That race is very dangerous. A local racer here Sean Dwyer, was invited to it several years ago. He finished mid pack and said it was insanely dangerous. Never went back.
