I am planning to buy the Pitbull stand but that would be for doing maintenance. For me, with where I do a lot of my riding, many of the parking areas are not well paved and I really need to have the center stand. I am waiting for the right side collar to come in before I finish the install, but it really isn't a big deal. I have actually enjoyed having to take the fairings off along with the minor disassembly as it has allowed me to learn the new bike.

Last Friday after having my first flat tire ever on a motorcycle (with barely over 100 miles on the odometer) and learning that nobody wants to repair flats on motorcycle tires, I ordered the accessory center stand from my local dealer. They said it would be here "in about four days". A week later, I called and was told it was on backorder, but it should be here "next week". I'm not holding my breath. When I ordered it, I had no idea it was "no longer available". Maybe it'll actually show up one day, but I doubt it. If not, I'll just get my $60 back.

I don't think you'll see it. I just went through this a month ago and a dealer confirmed for me that it was indeed discontinued AFTER they took my order. If you want the stand, you will likely have to order the parts individually.

Another update to this parts list. Item #10 is for the wrong spring washer. The proper part # is 90551-SE0-000.

As expected, I never heard back from the dealer "next week", but the parts guy did get confirmation from "her" (some lady at Honda) that the center stand accessory is definitely discontinued and will never be available as a kit again here in the US. The parts guy said the lady at Honda gave him a list of individual parts that made up the kit. When I asked if there was a price difference, he said he'd have to check. A few hours later he called back and said the individual parts would be $13 more than the accessory center stand ($60) for a total of $73+tax and wanted to know if I wanted to go that route. I said, YEAH. I'm still not holding my breath - that seems too cheap. We'll see what I end up with in several days.

Good Luck! I am so glad I bought mine when there where some around. I think that you will get them. There are to many VFR 800 F's not to have the parts even if they are not a kit any longer. Take Care.

Agreed, hopefully they quoted you the right price. The parts alone, purchased outside of the kit, are $160+. The good news is that they are readily available, so the center stand can be had if you are willing to pay the price if necessary. Keep us posted.

Yes, and everybody will tell you not to plug a motorcycle tire. I've plugged many motorcycle tires with punctures in the tread area (never the sidewall) with zero issues. Like everything else, there's a right way and a wrong way to do it.

I spoke to the dealer again today and "all but one part" has arrived so far and it is expected any day. I didn't think to ask what part it was - knowing my luck, it'll be the actual centerstand itself. Haha! I confirmed again that the price for all the individual parts totaled $77.02. That's way too cheap based on what others have reported. I'm hoping I'll be getting the full compliment of correct parts and that the dealer is "cutting me a deal", but I highly doubt that's the case - this particular dealer isn't know for good customer service.

Well, well, well... I talked to the dealer today. Guess what part has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase?

    Yep - you guessed it.

According to the dealer, Honda told them that the 50500-MCW-D00 centerstand is no longer available.

I asked them what happens if someone buys a new 2015 Deluxe that needs a new centerstand under warranty. They didn't have an answer.

They have every other part except the centerstand and wanted to refund my money and return all the other parts to Honda. I told them to wait a little longer and maybe one will show up. They didn't seem interested in pursuing this any further.

Not that I'm suggesting we should all put our tinfoil hats on, but I would get a second opinion. It is possible they undercharged you initially, and that was their way of canceling your order to avoid eating it. Send an email to a couple places, like David Silver Spares USA, Service Honda, and Ron Ayers....just to see what you get back. It might be completely legit, then again, trust, but verify.

Totally agree on this. Just looked up the part on Bike Bandit and they list it for $92.95

Yeah, I agree. I JUST ordered the entire set of parts less than 2 months ago and the center stand showed as being available with all of the online ordering sites that I checked. I went with Western Honda. The stand itself was $85.60 and it still shows as available. All the parts together cost me around $170. I too am betting that the dealer realized their mistake ...

I just bought a used center stand on eBay for less than $20 and am placing an order for the hardware parts tomorrow on partzilla. I should have all the pieces for les than $70. A little cleaning and some chassis black will make it look like new!

Did you go of the parts list in this thread? Also did your parts come in yet, and have you been able to fix the centerstand?

New 8th gen owner in California. I’ve decided I need to piece together, and install, a center stand.

I have a center stand from a 5 Gen. I believe it was proven to be the same for 5/6/8 Gens. Where in CA are you located?
