    Hi,

Got me a pair of TCX S-Speed WP last year and they fit nicely except for one little thing. There's a seam going across the lump at the base of the smallest toe (whatever that is called in English, in Sweden it's referred to as the "little toe" or "small toe" translated) which makes it hurt like hell after a while on the bike. I guess it's vibrations rubbing against the foot.
Do these boots stretch? I'm thinking about taping something a bit thick to the outside of the foot and heat the boot, either with warm water or a hair dryer, would this work?

Haven't found shit on the interwebs about this and I'm not sure what the hell the boot's made of either... You who had these a while, do they stretch?

    Thanks
    /R

I have the same boots and cannot say that I have the same issue. Since these are made from a faux leather, stretching may not be as much as natural leather.
See if this provides you with more details.

I taped neoprene strips I cut from a knee protector used when I was doing more sports (my knees a trash btw) to get som more width of the foot where it hurt. Warmed the boot with a hairdryer and sat with them. Rinse and repeat a few times and this worked like a charm!
    No more pain.

Rhino - I understand your apprehension to start messing with new boots. Hence if your fix is not a complete solution you may want to book an appointment with a Ski Boot fitting specialist before they put away all their winter sports gear for the summer!

Ideally put your new boots on and then ride your VFR to the appointment. That way when you arrive the witness marks on your feet will usually allow the specialist to locate precisely what is causing an issue. Whilst obviously they are geared up for working with hard shell ski boots, my local specialist had no problem stretching a pair of brand new leather/canvas walking boots so that they no longer caused blisters on the heal of my right foot. Basically a ski boot specialist they tend to have all sorts of expensive kit which is capable of carefully and progressively stretching, moulding and adapting pretty much any material so they should be able to adjust you TCX boots to better fit your feet. I suspect they will have little difficulty in being able to figure out what is causing the pressure on your toe and find a suitable solution - and indeed I doubt you will be their first customer asking them to sort out a pair of motorbike boots.

Thanks SkiMad but I actually think it's fixed. Rode the bike for more than 2hrs per day this weekend and no issues. Plus what I did is pretty much what the ski shop would do, more or less. I pushed my latest pair of skates in a similar way in a shop. Put them in an oven, neoprene padding where the skate needed more form and then sit with them on.
