Sooo while I was washing the area where the clutch slave cylinder pushrod goes I forgot to plug the hole into the shaft that the pushrod goes in so there's a good chance that some water got in there.

Does that hole lead to a path that goes to engine oil? If so, what is the best way to ensure any water that got in that way gets flushed? Motor is outside of the frame right now so I have easy access to everything.

goes into oil yes, so try to be more observant and less clean-obsessive in future.

Yeah I figured that out when I pulled the oil drain plug and there was a bit of water in there. The motor is mostly apart anyway so it's not a huge deal right now, just going to do a couple oil changes after running the motor when everything is back together.

As for clean-obsessive - the rest of the bike is basically restored to brand new now so I wasn't about to leave a bunch of gunked up grease on the motor. Oopsies.

You missed a spot ,,, there is a small black spec of dirt on the carpet bottom right side!!!

Nahh, outstanding .... that's going to look fantastic when fully assembled.
