So I just bought my first bike, a 91 VFR 750, it ran great until the third day i had it. I was on my way to shoot my first football game as a videographer, and it died in traffic while I was stopped waiting to move. A friend came and jumped it and I made it to the game. (late) Anyway after it started right up and I drove home. The next day it made it all the way out to the lake but only half way back. I found some cooked wires and a fuse and wiring for it is fried. I bought a multimeter and my manual is on its way in the mail,. Do I need a new rr? or stator? Any Advice?

    Thanx, alot!

Got a picture of the 'cooked' wires? Generally if the R/R is going bad, the battery won't get charged and the next time you go to start...it won't.

    Sounds like something else.

At first it would start right up and die later in traffic, and then not start without a jump. now it wont start.
