In the process of replacing my brake pads. Everything went smooth except one thing that's holding me back:

On the right side brake caliper, the pad opposite side of the pistons, isn't staying in place. The pad barely sits in the retaining pad but every time I put the caliper against the rotor or move it slightly, it flips out making it so I can't re install. I've never had this issue with any brakes I've worked on before. Also, it takes some decent pressure to push it down to fit into the retaining plate.

    Brake pads: EBC HHs

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
    Thanks

The service manual show this being done with the caliper installed, so the disk will stop the pad falling free. You might consider tweaking the pad spring to apply a bit more tension to the pad to hold it in place.

Thanks I'll try that. Reason I took the caliper off was to clean everything.

I'll be doing the same thing in the next week or two. I've never had that problem before. Hopefully won't have it this time.
