What do you all thing about $8000 (out the door) for a NEW 2004 HONDA Interceptor w/ABS (ASPHALT COLOR). Must be left over.

This will be my first interceptor. I live in Greensboro, NC and are having a hard time getting a black/asphalt color bike. Whites are still around here.

Sounds a little high to me.....but then again, you said it is new--it seems that's a pretty common question to ask about the price of a bike you're looking at--and people will tell you it's high or it's low, but the bottom line is, if it's ok with you, who the "H E double hockey stick" cares what a bike costs:smile: . If it costs $2G or $10G, you're the one who gets the value of what you spend for any specific bike. Just remember though, when you buy from a dealer, they have to earn their profit to pay for the brick and mortar that was used to build their building, advertising, etc. Used purchases will save dealer prep and whatever else they can add on.

Since you don't have a lot of VFR experience, why not buy an even older one (97)? You'd still be amazed with the performance and only shell out $4-5grrr.

But if you hafta have the pipes tucked underneath, offer $7K--that sounds pretty fair to me. Good luck and let us know what you do.

A little over a month ago, I bought a silver 2003 w ABS for $6000. It had 3000 miles on it and the previous owner had the wheels polished. He also added a K & N filter ~ other than that, stock. But in immauclate condition! Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I live in Atlanta and bought my 2006 VFR with 0 miles from a Honda dealership in Iowa for $7000 out the door about a month ago. In addition I got the bags for $750. It cost $533 to ship it here and then I had to pay state tax, title, and tag of $530. Total cost $8813. The same new 06 that a local dealer had wanted $9700 out the door and that was without the side bags. So the deals are out there, I found mine on ebay, but called the dealer and worked out the deal. It was so good my neighbor bought the same bike at the same price from the guy. Bad thing is we both dropped our bikes within 2 weeks of each other. I guess it couldn't stay new and pretty forever!
