The pearl in the colors does come out in the sunlight..... It looks a lot better outside. Great thing about the RWB is it was only for 2007 and theres only one 25th anniversary which makes it unique. I know someone up here that was waiting for the 08 because of all the rumors about changing the bike. Now he wants the RWB and they can only seem to find the Candy Red around here since it sold well and production stopped.

Not exactly Honda just changed Markets, the RWB is listed as a 2008 model in Oz wonder if a good Honda dealer could still order a US spec model with RWB plastics in for him ?.

    Oz RWB:

vtech is fun IMO, and not a bother, to be honest, if your railing corners so hard to be worried about a torque jump mid corner (i.e. you are hanging off) then you should probably already be in the vtech range anyway, otherwise you are going to risk lugging when exiting the corner (need mo'speed!)
When I approach twisties I jump the rpms up into vtech and fly through the corner like that, plus the extra juice is fun when accelerating out of the corners.

Havent done a valve adjustment yet, but I have to say I like the feel of the Vtech, and the guys I ride with think it is pretty bad a$$ when the semi-quiet bike changes tone completely and its go-go-go time. vroom.
crap. now I want to ride. work is for jerks.

Hey Eddie Honda's Vision was just too dull with all the black. Plus I allways have to make things one of a kind. Bikes...Cars...Ect... My Paint guy is so good he was able to match the paint with out using honda paint even the Pearl White! I realy lucked out because the powder coat on the wheels and the Marine Vinyl for the seat both have a pearl look to them also! I draw a crowd every where I go.

Eddie: The 25th Anniv. sticker is on the tank under clearcoat. the plastique will not make it authentique, just purdy. so the "LE" for limited edition instead of 25th Anniv. is an interesting twist... wonder if the tank has the 25th anniv. sticker. John?

Funny they would call them "Limited Edition" over there, but not call the 25th limited over here.

I guess I'd have a hard time cutting the original seat up, and sanding on that perfect factory paint job. I like to customize my rides too, but usually start with a bike that has been damaged. That's one of the cool things about bikes, you can make them into anything you want as long as you don't mind to shell out a few clams.

Good question, will have a good look for the 25th anniversary sticker at Sydney's Motorcycle show in November.

My 02 VFR has a serious punch on the VTEC transition. It sounds like some bikes are a bit different. I've heard various things to fix such as throttle cable play, TB Balance, PCIII and O2 bypass. I have done all except TB Balance and it still has quite a jerk @ WOT when passing 7k RPM. I gotta post up my Dyno run I did a while back...shows the bump well. The first time the operator ran it, he said "Oh shit! Is that normal?"

IMO if they could get the same power out of the motor w/o VTEC, then I'd just as soon get rid of the extra mechanicals. I don't see the efficiencies @ lower RPM vs. non-VTEC bikes. But like most technologies, it will probably become refined in future models to the point where we will really want it.

Hmmm, wonder if I dare say anything? Here's my take. Rode an 05, was pretty plain Jane IMO, was waiting for this so called Vtec hit, never really made any big deal, other than the sound. throttle response was sorta jerky or in this case not as smooth as my carbed gear driven engine  I can tell right off my 97 has a sportier stance and will run circles around this particular 6th gen. but my baby is tweaked so?? But I'll still stand on the fact mine sounds way better than any 6th will any time. they'll be no 6th in my garage. That said be hard to go wrong with any VFR, so as said you need to go ride em..

came across a slightly used rwb 07 model, 900 some miles on it. is 9000 a good deal? as it is coming across the border im told the remaining warranty is void. non-abs model. otherwise i found a 2000 vfr 800 for 5400.00 with 17000 miles.

    which one?

oh, one article i came across seemed to indicate the 2002 vfr was sucked out compared to the earlier variation. strangled midrange and a weak top end. what are your thoughts?

Yeah it was not easy but I had an image for what she would look like and made it happen. I kept the seat cover though so I can put it back if I want too.

I think the RWB will hold it's value and look great while doing it:dance: . I wouldn't worry about the warranty, It's a VFR, you won't need any stinkin' warranty. You can easialy switch the speedo and odo meter from kph to mph and back, however, I haven't found a way to switch the temp guage from f to c . That might be an issue since crossing the border.

To switch the speedo from mph to kph or back simply turn key on, press and hold the "select" button until it switches (about 3 seconds). The odo switches with the speedo. I haven't figured out how to change the temp guage. The owners manual doesn't address it that I've found.

I wish mine did that. All euro spec ones (except UK models) have the clock only in KPH which is annoying when i want to visit the UK, as i can't switch over to MPH. Asked Honda and they said buy a new odo, thx Honda... NOT!!

my goodness, now someone is complaining that the 2006 vtec, with the lower vtec engagement lacks the oomph of the original. can anybody be happy?
