    Hi all.

I'm finally getting round to recomissioning my 1999 VFR and want a decent exhaust on it. Previously I had a Staintune which I loved but they seem to be almost impossible to get nowadays (are they even still trading?), so which exhaust is closest in terms of getting a nice deep Chevy V8 sound? I'm less interested in what it sounds like at high revs.

Based in the UK if that matters.

    Thanks!
    Greg

I like my Staintune and know what you mean. I could not find a valid supplier for them when I looked either.

I have an FMF Apex on mine, wonderful sound and quality. They don't make it anymore but they pop up sometimes.

In case anyone is interested I received a reply from Adam at Staintune, they are currently taking orders for new exhausts.

Usually video clips don’t do much for capturing moto-sound, but that thing sounds delicious! You mention a mid-pipe, does the one you have eliminate the catalyst?

I have a TBR carbon high-mount on an otherwise stock 2001 and it sounds good, but I’d like it to sound a little closer to that, and my can is also on the bulky (size, not weight), too.

I just got a Black Widow 350mm GP style for mine. Sounds great.
It has a good solid sound with or without the baffle/db killer. And it doesn't crackle at all, like some others do.
Comes as standard or high level. In stainless, black or carbon fibre.

And since you are in the UK, it would be ideal. UK company and UK road legal.
