So after about 2 and a half years I lost that lovin' feeling for my VFR ...

...and now she's gone (sold her for $5,500).

I also traded in my recently acquired 2010 Honda Elite 110 scooter for a new 2018 Yamaha SMAX scooter so I can now race around my subdivision in flip flops at 80mph instead of only 50mph :D. Here's a review vid below that I made on Christmas Eve where I also take the SMAX out on the highway if anyone's interested - LOL

I'll try to pop in once in a while to see what's up in VFR World but I'll mostly be hanging out on various scooter, Camaro and Yamaha forums as well as my YT channel. I had a lot of fun on my VFR and participating on this forum the last couple of years. There are a lot of great folks on this forum - some of whom I've had the pleasure of actually meeting in person and consider "real" friends. Although I've lost my love for streetbikes, I still love riding on two wheels whether it be my mountain bike or scooter, and there may be a Honda or Yamaha dual sport parked in my garage in the near future :Eyebrows:

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year!

You may be back when you want to enjoy a v4 again.... it looks like Honda will bring out a 1000cc v4 - yummy....

Good luck in what ever you do.

Wow. Did not see that coming... Gator greg selling the VFR.

Well, good luck to you mate. Happy that your happy!

The Smax is very different to what's available locally here in Aust, called the Nmax here but it's a very different scooter, no flat floor.

Maybe you could delete the "pumkin's" and wire the indicators to the upper corners with new globes somehow?

You did not just say that. If you keep saying that, Honda won't make it, you need to say you DON'T want it, then Honda will build it.

Thanks Audible! I’ve never seen that NMAX before - looks very nice! It seems to have the exact same engine specs as my SMAX except the compression ratio is slightly different. I’m hoping to buy the overseas pieces necessary to get rid of my pumpkins. There’s also some fairly nice LED signals on Amazon that I saw a guy put on his XMAX with success.

Thanks Pete! According to the Honda dealer that I sold my VFR to (see link to their ad below) it has a 1200 cc engine! LOL. They are asking $6,995 for it and I must say she looks pretty damn nice in their pics - they have a great photographer! Someone will be getting an awesome bike - it was well maintained, always garaged, and never dropped. Hopefully she'll find someone who will take good care of her :D

Interestingly, the same dealer still has a new old stock '15 Deluxe on sale for $8,499

And check out this drop dead gorgeous 2004 R1 they have for $5,995

So I was reminiscing over some of my many VFR vids today (what can I say - I'm a hopeless romantic - LOL) and I thought I'd leave you guys with an encore presentation of what I have determined to be my two favorites. AFAIK, there are no other vids in the universe of any vehicle, much less a VFR, riding around on Disney World property at triple digit speeds while managing to avoid detection by the Disney cops :D And AFAIK, there are no other vids in existence of a VFR getting washed by not just one, but two ladies in bikinis :D Enjoy!

Scary equivalent of 25 miles a week over period of ownership.

I've discovered one thing my SMAX does far better than the VFR :D
