    Not to beat a dead horse but...... :deadhorse:
    I was talking with a gentlemen today (a racer) who said Erion Honda has a 1000cc V-configuration (engine) Honda in their shop getting fitted for an exhaust. He said it raised a few eyebrows because of how the bike was a of a sport-touring design, but at a race shop getting an exhaust designed for it. most of the guys who saw it said it looked like all it needed was a subframe/rear cowling swap to look ready to race.
    It all could be just BS, but the rumor mill has been working overtime this year comparatively to last- from any continent.

    I understand that just posting such a rumor opens me up to a firing squad in future weeks, but maybe our hopes and dreams can be enough to bring this mystical bike to reality......

    let the flaming begin:):brick:

    Yes- it would nice to have a photo. Wish I was as well connected as the people who got to see this "RC" as they called it. But then again if I was that well connected, and took a photo and posted it- I probably wouldn't be that well connected for long.....

    :noidea: One wild and unsubstantiated rumour has done the rounds suggesting Honda will unveil the VFR1000 (RR or ST ?) during Octobers Australian MotoGP.

    I see two problems with that article & drawing.
    First MCN is known for inaccurate 'spy shots' of bikes that never even got into a designers head never mind out of it.

    Second take a good look at the drawing, there are several details which conflict with Honda's current designs.
    the headlamp looks like a conventional dual filament bulb possibly two, but not the stacked arrangement that many of the current line up are sporting. Next is the front mounted radiator not side radiators like many of the current bikes. Last but not least, just the general lines of the bike (no undertail, all angles yamaha like appearance, it looks very much like and earlier generation VFR's body work.

    Of course if the build it, I'm gonna take a good look at it.

    First:biggrin: : MCN is not the only one to report on the patent.

    Second:biggrin: : when a patent is filed a detailed technical drawing is not required to show everything about the vehicle the patent will be used on (because then they would have to file a new patent everytime they changed the body work) . only a drawing to show the scope of what they are filing the patent for- a V4 or V5 motorcycle with the steering head bolting to the engine, and the subframe and swing arm bolting to the engine making said engine a complete stressed member of the chasis of the motorcycle.
