Linked brakes work to a point, then it's all the front. Galfer sintered front pads, organic rear. EBC rotors up front. They really grab. Progressive, but very powerful when you squeeze them hard enough.

 

My wife says I need to get a cruiser and a track bike.

Thinking a Tuono 1100V4 Factory for the track. If it wasn't for my brother living here and riding, I probably wouldn't ride street anymore.

 

I had 1st and 2nd gen Tuono V twins. Great fun fast bikes and the V4 is even faster. There is an excellent aprilia forum.

I'm glad your still with us also Lint! I've heard that laughter is the best medicine, but I know from experence that a cracked rib is very painful. I hope you heal faster than expected.

Both my sons have had street incidents, and the ATGATT I enforced if they wanted to ride was a huge factor in their escaping serious injuries. One had a front tire deflate at 70, and he did some serious distance sliding on the concrete. The photo of your lid speaks volumes.

I know broken ribs, and it does hurt to laugh.

Hurts much worse to sneeze! Ban pepper from the house immediately!

Some of us get lucky like that, eh Lint? When my I called my wife when I low sided my 5 Gen, other than asking me how I was, she said “well it’s a good thing you have more than one bike”. Although I decide to keep her a long before, this showed I made a good decision.

 

Mine would likely stop me at the door and make me clean up my dripping blood before I tracked it through the house.. "Take off your shoes!"

 

Send your prayers towards Randy, been back in the hospital for the past 3 days.
He was in a lot of pain and had trouble breathing.
Talk today, seems in good spirits, was goin to watch Motogp so I’m sure that cheered him up.

Okay, clean bill of health from the VA hospital in Nashville. Came in Friday with complications, a few days later and a bunch of tests and I'm good to go. I'm going to have in home PT to help speed things along.

Came in Friday with shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat. That's scary, let me tell you! Glad to be coming home!
