Anyone in the Lewiston/Auburn area here in Maine? It was hot and muggy on Friday but still a great day for a ride after work!

Wow, nice VF500. I had one from '86-2002 and Loved it. Enjoy your Interceptor.

Probably right but worth a check. I have a cottage down in Owls Head, so I hope go down to the antique motorcycle show at the transportation museum in September. I’ve been a couple times before.

Nice day to ride today, put on 50 miles riding all over town. I figure I need to get more comfortable with city riding this bike since I’ve read that a number of people don’t like the handling of stock tire size, especially corners, I enjoyed it.

Slowest turn was about 7mph in right turn bumper to bumper traffic, fastest was about 40mph taking a left turn onto the overpass ramp in town... of ourse coming out of the curve I couldn’t resist punching it. I’m still mildly amazed just how quick the bike is.

Also gave me a chance to break in my Icon “Tarmac” riding shoes I picked up NOS. They are very comfortable and have excellent feeling in the toe (I can’t handle hard plastic street boots, they remind me of the shitty old Scott MX boots from the 80’s) and the ankles have very thick and solid protection. They were a good choice.
