By the way, for anyone interested, the dealership in Lawrence, Georgia also has a few 2005's brand new still in crates, and a few '06s as well. All at a really good list price. I know because I talked to the salesman at that location on the phone a week ago. So if you're interested in a new or later model that's still brand new, I suggest you look on CycleTrader.com and search under new/used 2004-2007.

If I don't get my asking price I plan a trip to Georgia to get one of the new '05s. When you buy there you pay the .05 on the dollar Georgia tax rate, then when you go to your state to register the bike you pay, in my case, another .02 on the dollar tax-wise for registration fee and I can transfer my tag for like $25.

Like I told the salesman here in Florida. It's well worth it for me to take a short cruise if they are not willing to meet my price. (Grab them by the throat and they'll scream uncle before they lose consciousness! *lol*)

Here's a link to the Lawrenceville, Georgia list of what they have for sale.

    http://www.cycletrader.com/dealer.html?2887982

Tab to page two and you'll see the brand new '05 listed for $8,299.

Also, if they don't meet my price I can easily travel to Orlando in about an hour and a half and buy a black 2006 with 700 miles on it and bags already equipped for $7,999. That's not including my trade-in even.

Ok... I was unable to get my price for the 2007 non-ABS RWB with bags when I went to the dealership last Saturday. I would not budge from the 10k OTD I said I was willing to pay, so I just said no thanks and left. They wanted $10,900 OTD and that was for the 2007 non-ABS maroon model with bags. That's with my 2007 Ducati ST3 as a trade-in, no less (I owe on the ST3 about what the trade-in value is so it's basically worth about a grand as a trade-in due to the high resale value).

This is Friday. Tomorrow I plan to get up early and take that cruise to Orlando. The salesman is waiting for me. This is for a black 2007 non-ABS that already has bags and only 700 miles on it. They want $7,999.00 for it. They're selling it on consignment for a guy that bought it for his wife and she ended up not wanting it. With only 700 miles on it you might as well say it's new. The salesman said it's immaculate and has the owner's manual and tool kit.

Wish me luck. If all goes well I'll post my OTD price (hoping to get it for $8,000 OTD) when I get home, after showing it off around town a bit.
