I searched here and havent found a good answer. Anyone have a recommendation for a replacement new fuel pump for a 5th gen (1999)?. Looking at ebay in particular since its the easiest for me and they have a %15 off right now.
Most often you don’t have to replace the entire asssembly, just the fuel pump itself. Of course, before replacing the pump, go through the service manual steps to confirm the pump is getting voltage. I’ve had good results from two pumps sourced from Amazon - a Caltric for $17, and an HPF for $60. Both pumps looked and operated identically. When you remove the pump assembly, you may well find deteriorated hoses and fittings.
