I noticed I had smoked my front tire just after coming out of a mountain ride. Belts were showing. I have 6200 on the original Bridgestones. Is that normal for these tires?

If you thought these were crap tires and changed yours out early for better tires, hit me up. I'm in the market for a front tire. I am poor at the moment, and I think I can get 2 or 3 thousand more out of the rear.

You wore out the front before the rear? You must be doing some serious braking, and pretty cautious acceleration.

Just under 2000 miles before I threw them away and got some that could cope with English winter rain.

I did by accident the same as Fatshoutybloke. I punctured the rear and replaced both. The_head if you pay for shipping I will send you my front OEM for free. Let me know. it has 2,200 miles on it.

My front lasted 4800 miles and the rear 8700. I buy whatever I can find, usually while traveling, but usually Dunlop or Michelin. While I'm at it I want to acknowledge how nice dealerships are to me when I arrive with bald tires. They could make me wait all day, but nearly always they jump right on it.

Attached is from this month's ride of 2500 miles in Bavaria and Austria on a KTM 1290 Super Duke R. No VFRs were available, but the rental company in Frankfurt set me up real nicely.

I commute and don't get exceptionally aggressive while riding and I've still got the factory tires at almost 10k miles... I'm probably going to swap them out either before winter or next spring if for no other reason then they are getting old.

6500. My front tire got bumps all the way around it. Back tire probably could of got a few more miles on it but I’m happy with my new PR5s

I had the stock Dunlops on my 2014 VFR800. I had both the front and rears replaced at 8300. The rear tire had squared off from lots of highway miles and very close to the wear indicators. The front tire was actually in good shape with about 4/32" of tread left. I could have pushed another 500 miles on the rear and probably another 1,500 to 2,500 miles on the front.
