After consulting the owner's manual and looking for a long enough time that I now feel like a complete idiot, I still can't find the coolant check window shown in the manual. (Tried YouTube and didn't find it either.) Can anyone help?

Where in the owner's manual does it say that there is a coolant check window? Can you take a picture of that specific page and post it here?

Depending on the ambient light, checking the level can be a PITA, but the picture in the above post is correct.

You don't need to do that to check the coolant level in the expansion tank, thank god, unlike if you need to top the radiator off.

Easy and accurate way is to pop the seat off and flip the lid on the tank, use a flash light to peek in there. You can do some house cleaning while the seat is off.

I personally just wait until I boil out from a failed radiator cap! Fill the whole system and done! Plus the side benefit of boiling out the radiator so you are good for another 5 yrs or so.:wheelie:
