So, I bought a Gen IV that was painted turquoise.....it was wrecked and ALL the fairing was destroyed. They guy selling it had bought a fiberglass front and rear piece (only) and painted the tank and pieces bright turquoise. It was OK....and at the time, I thought "ridable" but I also started buying pieces.
And then I bought TheWedges complete fairing setup, which is red, except for one white panel.
So, I don't care a lot about color (no one has ever painted their bike and had it be the cause of it going faster, to my knowledge) but I'm not sure even my most HoneyBadger fashion sense can handle Honda factory red in combination with bright turquoise for a tank color.
So I need to rattle-can the tank. Obviously if I paint it red it won't match......anyone have a suggestion for the best color to use for a crappy paint job to match stock colors??

I have a local place that mixed a Honda factory color (Shasta White) in an aerosol can with the clear cote in the paint. I had never heard of it before and the charge for it was just a few extra dollars so I went for it. Damn near perfect with a little prep work and care. I and everyone else was blown away with how well it looked for a rattle can job. There was a down side, you have to shoot the paint as soon as possible, I think within 48 hrs, or refrigerate it and even with that it does not last long. Here is a link. I would like to think you could source it with a local supplier.

Shasta white is one of the main colours on the rothmans paint scheme on the NC24.

I have to admit, I like the blue and white.....but I'm not going to change the red. I only want to paint the tank. I don't think it will be impressive in appearance....I just don't want to make anyone sick.

I don't have the new fairing pieces yet....but they're stock red, generally.
I'm trying to be predictive and cut down on garage time here....... :)
