Well, i bought my 1998 VFR800 this summer and have since put around 2000miles on it. I'm relatively new to riding, around 6k mi total, and would love to find other people to ride with. If you have never been to the Black Hills of SD you should really make a trip sometime, beautiful scenery, sharp twistys and long sweepers abound. I've been lurking on the site for a while and have learned a lot, so i decided to join the community.

So is your big brother Deep Purple?

I drove through your neck of the wood with the family in the summer of 05 and it is beautiful.... until it starts to hail marbles at the end of June. Then the tunnels in Custer State Park are a welcome hide out.

Beautiful country, nice people, and Wall Drug - with free water.

I could tell you how nice Maryland is, but I'd just as soon not. There are too many other people here ;-)

Yeah, i certainly like it here, stopped by Wall Drug this past weekend on my trip across the state and back. If you stop by there you should really try the donuts, probably the best part about the drug store.

So, made it back from by 900mi drive in good condition, then i was riding around yesterday and i think my regulator went out. I guess it was bound to happen sometime.

    Thanks for the welcome.

they shallowpurple, Im in scottsbluff ne. Have been looking forward to riding up to SD some time before the cold sets in. Took the car into the black hills back in july- really nice, thats for sure... but i guarentee it would be a lot better on the VFR. Hit me up sometime--- would be great to run around with a fellow VFR owner. ~andrew email: az_andrew@hotmail.com
