Came from the Yosh pipe, I'm not using a fueling computer. I'm sure it's just popping. Maybe I'll put a gopro on it to check it out this weekend.

I don't remember if I ever posted this here. This is a video of when my bike was used to record sounds for a video game for a Canadian game company. Stock partially gutted exhaust and the snorkel out.

Was parralleling an old gent riding his immaculate blue Gen 5 still with stock end can in a 50mph zone yesterday, gear driven cam noise sounds odd on its own.

Probably should have mentioned I was in my quiet cage and while gear whine by itself isn't bad without the sonorous v4 note accompliment it didn't seem quite right.

Funny you say that, like you, but was in the truck came along side a 4th gen and thought Hmm, whats different sounding wise? and of course it was the gear whine. 4ths have the gears in the middle of the engine where they are a bit more dense sounding, where on 5ths they are on the outboard side making it a bit more intense. Funny how I pick up on that.

Here's a U-Tube of my '86/87 stock mufflers with the last chamber removed. Sorry for the cheesy clip, it just occurred to me to put the iPhone in the tank bag and see what happens. 2:51 in length.

A quiet vfr Reminds me of a sewing machine in all honesty.. put a nice exhaust on it though and boom.. the geared cams transform to sound like a poor man's supercharger instead at that point

robotics tech for my day job, mechanic and fabricator for a hobby, oil may run through my veins... but that's only after a horrific injury

Strapped the GoPro on the tail so that I could record the sound.

'98 VFR 46k miles - 8 1/2 minutes long - Things get a bit louder half way through when on a "closed course".
