Thanks for any help given. 2002 VFR owned 3-Months. Has been a champ until today. Went to start it: No FI light, Temp and N light on, push starter and head light goes out, no starter sounds at all. It ran great 2 - weeks ago. Took battery out and checked out fine at Cycle Gear in town. What am I missing. I have the shop manual on order, but would like to ride soon. Any help would be great. Is it a bad cell that their tester is not picking up. Guy said it looks like it may need to be charged.
I tried to find a search button and no luck.

My brother brought over a battery he knew was good and happened to fit. With his battery - all lights come on and fires up like new.

I'd check the starter relay. On the larger posts, both hot when starter button pressed, one hot button released=good. If checks good...starter?

Thanks. It was the battery after all. It must have had a bad cell or something.

Chris that is the first thing my brother said when I called him on this. The next one was - is your kill switch on.
    Great Forum.
