I’ll start by saying I’ve been a Honda fan for all of my 35 years of street riding. My VFR has been a great stead. We’ve had 18 great years together, but with neck and shoulder issues it was time for a change or to hang up the helmet. I looked at Harley’s but they really aren’t me. I’m really liking the retro bike craze and the CB1100 got my interest, but it’s seriously overpriced for what you get. Well today I pulled the trigger on the only other bike that interested me. A new for 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS. It’s a retro version of “The King”, the 1973 Z1. It is and has everything Honda could and should have done with the CB1100. It’s lighter, has more horsepower, and way better suspension. In fact only with the triple disc abs brakes did Honda equal Kawasaki. The stock exhaust looks and sounds great. Kawasaki wasn’t satisfied with tuning the exhaust only for power, they also claim it’s the first ever tuned to sound good. Being brand new I’m going easy on it but I can tell it has torque everywhere. It doesn’t care what speed or in what gear you’re in, just a slight roll of the throttle and off she goes. I think we are going to be very happy together!!

Looks great, brings back memories, I had the original 900 back in the seventies, only I didn't know much about serious riding then.
