    Hi Guys,

    After pulling my exhaust system the other day to find where a leak was coming from, i discovered once off the bike that the collector box looks very different to the pictures i've seen online. Turns out the down pipes and mid section are all made my motad, and only the muffler is OEM kit!

    The good news is of course that the stainless system hasn't gone rotten as i had first feared when i believed what was on the bike to be the standard OEM pipe, but the bad news is that i now don't know how to tackle where i believe the leak is coming from;

    I think the leak is coming from here, and it looks like someone may have tried to seal it at some stage. Now what i was wondering was, do you think that there ought to be some kind of gasket here, as there isn't one, or do you think i could get away with using some of that exhaust joining silicone stuff and tightening it right up?

    Any advise from your experiences is appreciated guys.

    There should be an exhaust gasket in there.

    Thanks fink, would this be the sort of gasket you'd recommend? https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/1321738955...9045101&device=c&campaignid=1057748120&crdt=0

    Also, you may have noticed the shock doesn't look great, but it seems to be performing it's job but as you can see in the photos, the all year round british winter commuting this bike has seen has taken it's toll and it looks distinctly second hand lol I'll stick another unit in there when cash flow/wife allows, perhaps a fireblade 929 unit i've seen posted elsewhere :)
