Anybody ever tried to change an 86VFR into a 1990's VFRplastic? Looks somewhat similar in design. Just a thought sin the older 86 stuff is $$$$$

I was wondering if anyone out there has tried to put newer 1990's style fairing and seat on a 1986 VFR for the newer look.

I was just looking around for an answer to the same question. All my front fairings are useable, but I just want to know if I can change to a newer style seat cowl as they seem alot easier to find.

One flaw in this plan: have you priced 3gen plastic?

I envy 2gen guys since they can still get quality fiberglass from cobaltracing and ABS stuff from maier. Also, I'd look into CBR600F2 race plastic because it's close in design and you can drill holes for mount points wherever you need.
