I'm normally a lurker but I thought I get an intro post in and get rid of that 0 posts by my name. I was in the market for a bike and asked a friend if I could ride hers mostly as a joke. The joke ended up being on me. She has a 1997 VFR and I knew I was in trouble as soon as I took off. The bike was a lot more comfortable than I expected and it seemed to fit me perfectly. Next thing I know I'm shopping for VFRs and I come across a used 2007 25th anniversary edition VFR with 1200 miles. So as of tonight I am the proud owner of a VFR and my friend is grinning like the chesire cat. Now I'm hoping the Minnesota winter holds off long enough for me to get a few rides in this year and I'm eagerly anticipating next year. I'll go back to lurking now

Sarah, welcome to the forum. Any idea how many anniversary bikes were released in the states?
    Nice looking color combination.
Reminds me of seeing the early 250 grand prix bikes that were raced on the west coast in those factory colors.
    Enjoy your new toy...

Congratulations. I've got the same bike (and 2 others). You're going to love it. It is a very refined machine.

First in answer to Bob's question...I don't know how many anniversary editions were released in the U.S. and my searches for that info have come up empty-handed.
I rode the bike home today just before a severe storm rolled in and I can't believe how much I love this bike. I've had a Honda Hurricane, a Yamaha Seca II and a Suzuki Boulevard and this beats them all hands down. I do need to readjust to the sport bike ergos though having spent the last two years on a cruiser. I see some handlebar risers and figuring out to drop the seat height about an inch in my future.(my poor 30" inseam is tiptoeing and I'd like to get at least the balls of both my feet down at the same time). Even though I told myself I was going to go slow, I found the speedometer at 85mph near the end of the ride and a huge grin on my face. Now for the storms to pass and me to find some S curves to continue my comfort level improvement.

I have that bike too! 7 Months old and a little over 9000 miles. Just got new tires and chain put on, she had her clutch replaced on a ride deep into Canada (freak problem it seems), got a fender eliminator kit, installed HID Xenon lights, and modified the clip-ons so they arent so swept back.

I loooove this bike. Its fast, nible enough for me (although I am looking into a CBR600 next for the track), and looks bitchin'.

Now to get that power commander and laser exhaust to even out the package!!!

Congrats on the purchase and have fun!
