Coffman's review as promised.

Bought myself a Coffman's exhaust tip for my gen 8 for Christmas. Let me first say that I have had a set on my 2013 Hayabusa for a couple years now and absolutely love the look and sound. I have kept in the baffles and it is perfect for me.
Once the bike was pulled from my man cave and put into the garage (where my tools are), it took precisely 13 minutes to remove the oem and install the Coffman's. 3 bolts to remove oem, drill a pilot hole for the rivit, and tighten 1 exhaust clamp bolt.. Took longest to drill. I started with a small bit that looked correct. Had to step up 3 more times to find a good snug fit for the rivit.
Sounds amazing, just as the big Bus does. Didn't have time for a good ride, just about 30 yards back to the man cave in 1st gear.
I personally highly recommend them. Very high quality and when I have spoken to the company reps, they were very attentive. The Busa units have held up very well and still look new so I summize these will also. My Busa has Gold tips vs these red ones.
Not going to make a vid of the sound as I am slightly less techie than a caveman. Youtube has a few sound clips.
Really love that the swing arm is now out for all to see.

They are really not extremely loud. Neighbors are fine, thx. Busa is louder. My straight drags on my M109R are loud.
I personally prefer a bike that is not silent. I can count countless times when I have had people start to creep into my lane and I will give a rev, and they quickly get back out of my lane. I have also had less cagers pull out in front of me when on loud bikes vs quiet ones. Loud seems to work for me, so I will still subscribe to Loud Pipes Saves Lives. To each his own.
But again, on this lil 4, it aint that loud. They are baffled, and sound very throaty. Much better than the sewing machine.

Yes Troy, that is quite sensible. That's one of the reasons I like to keep my 600RR spooled up! My old Interceptor though, probably wouldn't hold up! Best wishes.
