bike just cutting out..?

so riding around the neighborhood on sunday,
started heading up hill and it just starts bogging horribly then cuts off and wont start...only thing 'modified' on the bike is its gravity feed..but im pretty sure that has nothing to do with it..i hope...any help greatly apreciated

How far were you from your starting point?

What was the last thing you did to the bike?

Petcock?

 

i got about a half mile away from the house...
we havent really done anything to it yet.
we had the engine apart around the end of last year and cleaned everything up etc. but its been acting funny the past few times i rode it but it's never really just died before

 

I'm guessing you either have a clogged fuel filter or a pinched/clogged vent line.

Next time it happens, drain the float bowls and see if you get any fuel. Bet their empty.
