Had a conversation with some friends. Made me curious. Yeah, I know, strange ass post and no I'm not going to fantasize about you, you freak. Just curious. Fwiw, clothes are uncomfortable at night.
I don't want to worry about running out the door nekkid if there is an earthquake, fire, unlikely tornado, etc. Possible related to the 94 Northridge 4:31 AM shaker. Rudest awakening ever. For me. So, "skivvies".
That was a memorable temblor!!!! Aftershocks for days!!! I felt it all the way down in South Orange County!
94 wife 8 months pregnant and in a waterbed on the second floor, last time she ever slept naked What about the Sylmar earthquake, first for me 9th grade Just all the devastation was an eye-opener for me Pretty scary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We were close to Van Nuys Bl and Sherman Way. Handful of miles from the epicenter. We live even closer to that epicenter now. We had the house EQ retrofitted / foundation bolted after we bought it, and carry EQ insurance. Let there be Rock and Roll!
I have to say, I sleep wearing jammies. I need them to stop sweat from drenching the bed. Two towels on the night stand to use on pillow. Night sweats are a bitch. I never thought about the need to wear something in case of an earthquake. We do get light ones here from time to time. They are saying we are in for a major one that will be devastating. Depending on which plate, the Georgia or the Pacific moves. It could be a shaker that will devastate buildings on solid ground, or it could be one that will liquefy all the all the flat land. If that is the case, I am hooped. I live below high tide on an old lake bottom. Sumas Lake was drained back in the early 1900's Have EQ insurance but all our EQI comes with a $35,000. deductable. That is one hell of a lot of damage that will not be covered. Fucking Insurance companies. For the life of me I don't know why our governments do not take a serious look at their business practices and regulate them.
Last quake I felt was the Napa quake 3 years ago, 3:20am. I live 16 miles from the epicenter, pretty good shaker here. Took 2 hours for any news to report what happened that morning, now I use a web site called: www.earthquaketrack.com, just plug in your area and it will give all kinds of results and a map. For us, there have been 387 in the last year, haven't felt any of them, even the one that were directly under my place! Tried to upload screen shot, but getting an error. Is the site only letting us use URL's and not insert image?
I normally sleep horizontally. Except if it's is early in the morning, I'm in the left seat, and we are we are returning from a job, then its sitting up.
